How water-activated tape works
The glue is dry until it's moistened. Wet the strip with a tape dispenser, a damp sponge or a brush, press it onto the box, and it bonds into the cardboard. Once set, it won't peel off cleanly, so anyone opening the box shows. Dry, it won't stick at all. Use it on cardboard boxes, not plastic or coated surfaces.

Questions, answered.
My design doesn't line up in the preview. Is that a problem?
No. The preview is a quick sketch. A designer builds the real print file, lines your design up so it repeats cleanly along the roll, and sends you a free proof to approve before anything prints.
What's the minimum order for water-activated tape?
There isn't one. You can start with a single roll and see your logo printed on real tape before you commit to a bigger run. The price per roll drops as the quantity climbs, and the page shows every price before you order.
What's the difference between kraft and white base?
Kraft is the natural brown paper base, great for eco-friendly or rustic branding. White gives your logo a brighter surface with more contrast, which helps logos with light colors. White costs the same as Kraft.
Will printed colors match the preview?
Close, not identical. A screen glows and ink doesn't, so printed colors are usually a little softer than what you see here, especially neon and very bright tones. Layout, size and spacing print exactly as the preview shows.
Do I need a special dispenser for water-activated tape?
Yes. Water-activated tape requires a water-activated tape dispenser (also called a WAT gun or gummed tape dispenser) to moisten and activate the adhesive. The tape won't stick without water. We carry dispensers — ask us if you need one.
How long does it take to receive my order?
After you order, our design team checks your artwork and sends your free proof within 12 hours. Once you approve it, standard production is 1 week or faster. Need it sooner? Skip the Line prints within 24 hours of your proof approval, Monday to Friday.
What file formats do you accept for artwork?
We accept AI, PDF, EPS, and high-resolution PNG or JPG (300 dpi or higher). Vector files always produce the sharpest results. Not sure if your file is ready? Upload it and our designers will check it for free.
Is water-activated tape tamper-evident?
Yes. Water-activated tape bonds permanently with the corrugated fibers of the box. Any attempt to remove the tape will visibly damage the box surface, making tampering obvious. It's the preferred tape for high-value or regulated shipments.
Do I get a proof before you go to production?
Always. We send a digital proof for your approval before printing a single roll. You can request changes until you're 100% happy. Production only starts after you give the green light — and your order is fully refundable until that point.
